Auditions will be held on August 20 and 21 during the following time blocks for each instrument:
Monday, August 20
Tuesday, August 21
All players auditioning for each instrument should arrive 15 minutes before your instrument’s scheduled time to draw numbers that determine the order in which you will play. Number drawing will happen outside the stage door behind Moody concert hall near the elevators. Auditions will be blind and will be held on the stage of Moody concert hall. Students will be asked to prepare all of the excerpts for your instrument linked below as well as–for violins, violas, and cellos–a short solo work such as a concerto exposition, a movement of a solo sonata, or other short solo work. Those auditioning on bass should prepare two octave A and B-flat major scales.
