Jonathan Noffsinger is the Woodwind Area Coordinator and Professor of Saxophone and Jazz Studies at The University of Alabama.He received his D.M.A. from Michigan State University, his M.M. from Louisiana State University, and his B.M.E. from Murray State University. Student of James Forger and Jean-Marie Londeix. Winner of the gold medal in Saxophone Performance at the National Conservatory in Bordeaux, France; First Prize in the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. Performed throughout the U.S., Europe, and Japan as a soloist and clinician. Recorded on Sunrise Studios of Japan label. Former faculty member at Eastern Illinois University and Albion College. University of Alabama faculty member since 1993.
