Dr. Pamela Penick is adjunct instructor of music administration and class piano.  She has degrees in piano performance from Northwestern State University of Louisiana (BM), the University of Texas at Austin (MM) and the University of Alabama (DMA). Former teachers include William Race, Sylvia Zaremba, and Amanda Penick, as well as Kurt Neumuller at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.  Pamela is a frequent accompanist for students at the University and is part of the duo-piano team with Pamela Gordon since 1989.  She has performed solo and duo recitals in the throughout the Southeast.  Her most recent collaborations have been with Maxim Rubtsov, principal flutist with the Russian National Orchestra, and with Pamela Gordon and the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra.

Penick has been an adjunct instructor on the music faculties of the University of North Alabama, Newcomb College in New Orleans, Louisiana, Northwestern (La.) State University and Shelton State Community College.  As an arts administrator, Penick served for 12 years as Executive Director of the Arts & Humanities Council of Tuscaloosa County, 6 years as General Manager of the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra and 14 years as Executive Director of the Moody Foundation. She continues to serve on various civic and artistic boards in Tuscaloosa county.  Penick also is a graduate of Leadership Tuscaloosa, Class of 2000.
