The University of Alabama School of Music has Graduate Assistantships available in violin, viola, and cello for the 2020-21 academic year. These assistantships are for students pursuing either the MM or the DMA in performance.
Each quartet position includes:
- Full tuition waiver
- Medical insurance
- $13,725 stipend
- Regular performances with the Capstone String Quartet
- Chamber coachings with University of Alabama string faculty
- Outreach with Strings in Schools classes in Tuscaloosa Public Schools
- Additional national and international travel and performance opportunities possible
- Leadership positions within the Huxford Symphony Orchestra
