The University of Alabama’s Contemporary Ensemble presents an evening of music composed by 20th- and 21st- century artists at the University of Alabama School of Music. The concert features music for stage and film that is acoustic, electronic, and electroacoustic, most of which are composed by Alabama-based artists. The concert will have new works, including world premieres, as well as music firmly established in the canon, such as Copland’s Appalachian Spring Suite for 13 instruments.
