UA Represented at ACDA

Several of our students will be representing UA at the American Choral Director’s Association Southern Region Conference this weekend. Special congratulations go to MM Choral Conducting student Skip Stradtman for being selected to as one of three panelists for a special session on boy choirs.

ACDA conferences are highly effective professional development events. Our students will attend sessions on topics such as choral literature, choral composition, vocal technique in choral settings, historical performance practice, the psychological and sociological dimensions of choral music, score study and conducting technique. They will also attend performances by some of the finest choirs from the region. Moreover, they will be able to network with other choral professionals from throughout the country, which is highly important as they build their professional networks and pursue future employment and artistic collaborations.
