Mariah Martin has been named as the Band Director at Northport Intermediate and Collins-Riverside Intermediate Schools to start in the Fall of 2023!
Mariah completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Instrumental Music Education in the Spring of 2023 at the University of Alabama.
While pursuing her bachelor’s degree, she performed with the Million Dollar Band, Athletic Pep Bands, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Flute Choir. Mariah was also a member of cNAfME and REACH.
When asked about her time in the School of Music Ms. Martin says:
“My time being part of the UA SOM has been one of the best experiences of my life! I really found a family and community with my fellow musicians, as well as the incredible teachers and staff at Moody. From the head of the department to the after hours janitors, Moody is truly a close-knit yet diverse community of incredible people, and I’m endlessly thankful I got to be a part of it!”
Mariah has been a great addition to our School of Music community and we can’t wait to see what the future holds in her new position!
