February 29th, will be the first annual UA Day of Percussion. We have a fantastic day planned consisting of performances, clinics, and masterclasses from incredible guest artists, including Michael Burritt, the Director of Percussion at the Eastman School of Music.
Along with this, there will be performances from four separate public schools, as well as an All-Star Collegiate Percussion Ensemble comprised of two – three percussionists from each university within the state of Alabama. This ensemble will be under the direction of Michael Burritt and will perform on the events closing concert at 6pm.
The UA Percussion Ensemble will give a performance at 2pm in the Concert Hall.
